STRONG RETINOL WARNING: This product contains a high strength, highly effective retinol. With retinol, it’s takes the skin 2 to 3 months to get use to this active ingredient. If you are new to retinol or if you are from switching from non medical grade skincare products, we highly recommend having a consultation with us prior to purchasing. Redness, peeling and irritation are expected when using this product. This is all part of the retinol process. Wear sunscreen diligently and limit sun exposure while using this product. Do not use if you are pregnant, lactating or planning to become pregnant.

Due to the unique potency of Acne Complex, begin use gradually. After your cleansing routine, apply a thin layer 2-3 times/week. Gradually increase to daily use as tolerated. Pair with ZO’s Hydrating Crème to soothe + comfort skin. Wear broad-spectrum sunscreen SPF 30 or higher daily. This is one of the strongest products in the ZO line. Reactions are anticipated with the use of this product. Redness, flakiness, dryness, burning, or stinging are all normal, anticipated reactions when starting retinol. With regular product use, skin will acclimate, revealing a smoother, more even-toned and radiant complexion. Pair your retinol with a ZO functional hydrator to minimize anticipated reactions. Like prescription retinoic acid, retinol will make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Wear SPF 30 or higher daily.
